This naive style pile knot rug was hand-knotted in a weaving community in the High Atlas Mountains. It’ll immediately steal your heart with its divine colour combination, irregular shapes and lovely motives like the tree of life in the middle of the rug. In addition, it somehow oozes serenity, conveying something of the ancient wisdom of the Amazigh culture.
Its was woven by Hajar, a talented young weaver, based on a previous rug of hers we really loved. It is made of well-spun, butter-coloured wool yarn and the pattern is made of dyed wool.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
