This brown vintage rug is decorated with small pastel pink, yellow, grey and purple pictograms and lines. We found it during our spring trip to the Atlas Mountains and immediately hit it off. Although we don’t know the weaver of the rug, because it was no longer used by its original maker, we think it is impressive how modern and clean her visual world must have been.
The rug was knotted from wool dyed in brown and pastel colours, on a red weft, ending in relatively long braided fringes at one end.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
