This Beni M’rirt rug features an incredibly soft and velvety surface. The design is relatively minimalistic, with two rows of sand-coloured squares framing the rug. These squares are knotted using two slightly different-toned yarns, adding an extra touch of playfulness to the rug (check out the close-up pictures!).
The soft, subtly shiny wool surface is very pleasant to walk on and gives any room a luxurious feel.
This rug is the result of meticulous handwork, carried out by a wonderful community of female weavers in the Middle Atlas region. We take great pride in collaborating with them and in the exquisite rugs that they create.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
