This unique Boucherouite rug is eagerly waiting to find its character-filled home!
Imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon this extraordinary rug in a traditional Beni Ourain weaving workshop in Zerarda, the birthplace of Beni Ourains.
The tiny rug, with an ultra-plush surface, was meticulously knotted from the clothes and unused home textiles of the members of the collective, with extremely dense knotting.
We love this chaotic surface and the dark, yet diverse colour scheme created by colour mixing. We have no doubt that its future owner will cherish it just as much as we do.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
