Adorable vintage Azilal rug with multicoloured triangles and zigzags.
It was most likely made in the early 2000s and remained in very good condition, especially compared to those used in a tribal setting. Its playfulness and vintage soul is due to the different wear of the surfaces that have been knotted from different materials. For example, the details made from blended or cotton yarns stand out compared to the wool parts that are more felted. This unique wear and tear is what makes vintage Berber rugs so special.
The rainbow warps are made of upcycled yarns and both ends have fringes.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
