We love this tiny rug with turquoise motifs.
It is adorned with a central protection symbol that serves as defence against bad luck or harm in the Amazigh belief system. These motifs are inherited within the family and the weavers use them instinctively without being able to necessarily explain their meaning in detail.
This little rug is medium pile, knotted of well-spun wool yarn and has fringes on both ends.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
