This delightful rug was woven by Fatima in the High Atlas region. Fatima is responsible for colour dyeing in her village’s weaving community and this is reflected in her highly sophisticated use of colour. This particular piece is the third of its kind that she has crafted for us, and we find it truly beautiful. The intricate line motif on the rug evokes images of a bustling urban scene, although when we asked Fatima about it, she simply smiled approvingly without revealing more about the design.
Crafted from a combination of dyed and natural wool, the rug is finished with fringes at both ends, adding to its charm and character.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
