This densely woven, medium pile Beni Ourain rug is rather elegant. Its generous, velvet-like wool surface adds warmth and cosiness to any large space.
Unlike the classic Beni Ourain pattern (which features diamond-shaped lines), it is decorated with asymmetrical geometric line drawings. The pattern was created using a special technique; weaving undyed and black coloured yarn instead of knotting. The flat-woven pattern gives a greyish effect from a distance, revealing its exciting striped pattern up close.
It is a soft brand new rug, made of 100% sheep’s wool in the workshop of a weaving community near the town of Khemisset.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
