This rug is the perfect example of why we find Berber rugs so fascinating. A piece that looks quite modern and fresh was actually hand-knotted by a weaver called Getto in a small rural Amazigh community from wool yarn that she dyed herself. The traditional, abstract line drawings knotted with a warm pink coloured yarn turns the rug into a completely unique visual experience. We have already received a few similar pieces from this community, and this visual world sweeps us off our feet every time.
It could work in a living room, under or in front of a bed, or used to visually divide a larger room.
The rug is made of cream-coloured natural wool paired with pink wool on cotton warping. It is fringed at both ends.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
