The beige-effect of this Zanafi rug is created using the interplay between light brown and cream-coloured fibres. It has a pleasant, natural colour that can look both solid and intricate at once.
It comes from the dry, arid province of Ourzazate and, as is custom to the region, is a flatwoven, thin rug. It is decorated with symmetrical lozenges created with a special twisted patterning method.
It could work well under a dining table or even in a holiday home as it is easy to clean and is forgiving with signs of use.
We recommend getting a non-slip rug pad to go with it to prevent it from slipping.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
