Azilal with earth-coloured repeating pattern from the High Atlas Mountains. The colours of the plant-dyed wool harmonise with the darker toned natural wool typical to the area.
The beauty of botanical dyeing is that the final colour is shaped by a combination of several factors like nature or unique family traditions relating to the colouring process. All this means that no two dying processes ever lead to the exact same colour shade result.
This rug is made with cotton warping and a 100% sheep’s wool weft.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
