A restrained, earth-coloured rug from the High Atlas Mountains. The colours of the plant-dyed wool harmonise really nicely with the darker toned natural wool that the area is known for. The beauty of botanical dyeing is that the final colour is shaped by a combination of several factors including nature (i.e. avarage hours of sunshine) to unique family traditions relating to the colouring process. All this means that no two dying processes ever lead to the exact same colour shade result.
This rug is made with cotton warping and a 100% sheep’s wool weft.
** All our rugs are carefully hand-knotted. Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted so you may spot minor imperfections, but we believe this only adds to their character and charm.
