Azilal rug with Earth tone pattern

This rug is full of life: you can see the weaver’s personality shine through with the rug’s earthy tones and diamond-chain pattern. It was made in a High Atlas village, where weaving is not only a craft hobby and source of living, but also a connecting factor in community life. Despite the challenges and rather difficult life circumstances that those living in these remote areas face, the weavers love and value life very much and this comes through in their rug creations.

This rug is made of cream-coloured wool yarn, hand-dyed wool yarns made with botanical dyes and cotton warp.

Each piece is completely unique, bearing the individual self-expression of the weaver woman as well as the weaving traditions of the tribes of the Atlas Mountains. We handpick each and every piece of our collection. Please note that Berber rugs are handcrafted products so you may spot minor imperfections. We think this only adds to their character and charm.
